Gossip Girl: From OMFG to WTF
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Gossip, Video,
Early last spring, the CW got people talking with its OMFG campaign. Now the network has Gossip Girl fans saying “WTF”? (For the uninitiated, that means “Watch This Fall.” Natch.)
Based on the scenes in these clips (there are more after the jump), it looks as if the drama will continue far into the college years. What shocking moments are ahead of us? Dan kissing Georgina. Nate smooching a new woman in another form of transportation. Carter shirtless with horses. And, wait for it—Blair letting Dan touch her hair. WTF indeed!
Season 3 of Gossip Girl premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 9 p.m. (a new time).

The Future of the CW
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, Cancellations, Gossip, Renewals, Rumors,
There were times, before Gossip Girl, when the CW might have started to fade into oblivion…moments when it seemed the network was still struggling. But in shows like Gossip Girl and 90210, the CW managed to strike gold. Melrose Place will premiere this fall, launching the channel toward even bigger success. So what else is in store for CW viewers?
Right now, the rumored Gossip Girl spinoff is a no-go. That’s not currently on the CW’s plate, though fans will no doubt keep the hope of a new GG series alive. Talks for Gossip Girl spinoffs are still ongoing, but it doesn’t seem they’ve settled on a sure idea yet. The Body Politic pilot (featuring Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Union) won’t make it all the way to the schedule, either. This wasn’t the only casualty of many good pilots the CW decided to pass on…for now.

Monday Ratings: ABC is a Thorn in CBS’ Side
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Games, Prime Time, Reality, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Dancing With The Stars, Medium, Ratings,
A mere 20,000 viewers. That was the only thing keeping CBS from winning both the viewers and the demos last night. ABC’s reality block - with its 12.18 million average - barely managed to squeak past the Eye and its 12.16 million followers.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (18.7 million, 4.2/12 in 18-49) picked up 400,000.
- 24‘s finale (9.4 million, 3.0/8) was down 600,000 from last week.
- Rules of Engagement (2.6/8) rang up 7.5 million; How I Met Your Mother (3.7/10 wrapped up with 8.7 million.
- Deal or No Deal (4.8 million, 1.3/4) scored 600,000 more.
- Gossip Girl (2.2 million, 1.1/3) lost 100,000.

Monday Ratings: FOX Ekes Past CBS
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Games, Prime Time, Reality, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Dancing With The Stars, House, Medium, Ratings,
Monday night saw a heated competition between three different networks. Although ABC was a winner with the viewers, FOX (3.9/11) won a hard-fought battle in the demos over CBS (3.9/10). (ABC and its 3.6/10 wasn’t that far behind.)
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (4.2/11 in 18-49) averaged 18.3 million.
- House‘s season ender (12.3 million, 4.6/13) had the best demos of the evening.
- The Big Bang Theory (3.6/11) registered 9.8 million; How I Met Your Mother (3.6/10) turned in 8.7 million.
- Deal or No Deal (1.0/3) drummed up 4.2 million.
- Gossip Girl (1.2/3) sucked in 2.3 million.

This Week on TV (5/11-5/17)

(You can view TV Envy’s Programming Schedule here.)
MONDAY 5/11)
- Gossip Girl (CW, 8pm): “Serena’s run-in with the police upsets Lily.” She only expected her daughter to be cuffed and shamed, not frisked and strip-searched.
- Weaponizers (Discovery, 9pm): Season premiere. “An RV takes on a shuttle bus, after the teams equip them with rockets, machine guns and medieval weapons in this reality series featuring vehicle face-off competitions.” The only thing missing in this equation is Jason Statham.
- Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9:30pm): “Alan and Chelsea bond, and their time together gives Charlie a needed break to do the things he loves doing on his own.” A wingman can help you score a woman….and keep her busy too.
- Medium (NBC, 10pm): “After Allison slips into a coma while working on a case, her spirit transfers into the body of a middle-aged man (Jeffrey Tambor).” The sexual reassignment process was much easier than the one Alexis Arquette went through.

Monday Ratings: Lackluster Finales for Heroes, Chuck
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Dancing With The Stars, Heroes, House, Medium, Ratings,
If there ever was a time for fans to come out and support Chuck, it would have been last night. Unfortunately, the numbers for both NBC finales were basically flat from last week. (At least the network has already declared that Heroes will get a return.) Meanwhile, FOX beat out CBS in a tight race for the demos while ABC was in first with the viewers.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (19.1 million, 4.3/12 in 18-49) stumbled by 1.6 million.
- House (11.4 million, 4.5/12) did 3 million better than the previous Bones episode.
- The Big Bang Theory (3.4/10) had 9.3 million laughing; How I Met Your Mother (3.7/10) rounded up 8.9 million.
- Chuck (6.1 million, 2.3/6) did the same as before.
- Gossip Girl (2 million, 1.0/3) turned away 400,000.
